A highlight of the day was about ten miles of dirt road near Valparaiso, IN. It's a dirt bike for god's sake! Fortunately no punctures or other drama. I suspect it would have been more fun without all the crap piled on the back!
Anyway, the day was basically event free and I even got some time to do a little routine maintenance in the hotel parking lot this evening.
The bike continues to run well and my little "chainsaw" motor that I built in my garage now has nearly 1200 miles on it.
I guess if there were going to be infant mortality issues they would have showed their little faces by now.
Tomorrow it's off to cross the Mississippi River and in to Iowa. Crossing the "Bug Muddy" was always one of my big "intermediate" goals for the trip and now it's only about 60 miles away! Cool!
Looks like there is also the possibility of getting wet tomorrow (no, not by falling in the river. Rain!) We'll see what new and exciting dimensions that brings to the party!
Not much else to report this evening except that I am craving sleep! Another 7 or 8 days of this might just do me in.
Oh yeah, one other thing. If you want to see more pictures from the trip then visit my photo share on Smugmug by clicking HERE
